Bibliography
Mamta Baruah Herland is a painter and digital artist born in Assam, north east India, now living just outside Oslo, Norway. In addition to private collectors, her works are acquired by number of commercial companies, municipalities in England and Norway, The Norwegian Council of Cultural Affair (Norsk Kulturråd) and Guanlan International Print Biennale in China. She has won award Bærum Art Prize 2007 in Norway and The Best of Show, Call to Arts, California in USA in 2005.
Mamta’s artistic vision is to incorporate sensitivity with existing technologies as part of a process to create works that can be defined as art of synthesis. Despite her diversified application of various tools and mediums, the content of her work is nevertheless emotional and reflective. The final artwork of her visualization defines no limit of medium or substrates.
