Lauren Rosati is a Brooklyn-based artist, curator and writer interested in new media installation and contemporary art. Born in Providence, RI, she lived and worked at the seminal non-profit artist collective AS220 before moving to New York in 2005. She is co-publisher of sound art magazine LOUD5 with Tristan Perich and Jonathan Hollinger, curator of the annual festival Build/Decay, a multimedia event that explores the simultaneous creative and destructive art processes, and writer of an essay in the recent book, PERFORMA, on the 2005 performance art biennial of the same name. Recent curatorial projects include ((audience)), a program of surround and quadraphonic sound works to be shown in New Delhi in March 2008 and Ice Cream Headache, a day-long, five-borough audio tour in which reinterpreted ice cream truck jingles are broadcast to an unsuspecting public.
