Bibliography

Jia-Jen Lin is an artist born in Taiwan and based in New York. Lin has developed a body of work integrating sculptures, installations, videos, and performance collaborations. She received her B.F.A. in Western Painting at National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei in 2002 and M.F.A. in sculpture, installation, and multimedia from School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 2007. She has exhibited in USA, Taiwan, Korea, Germany, and Australia.

In 2011 Jia-Jen founded DBS Collective, an interdisciplinary art collective of artists from different genres. She also serves as DBS' Artistic Director.

Lin has attended artist residencies at Franconia Sculpture Park in Minnesota (2012), Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (2010), Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha (2010), and Watermill Center in New York (2010). She is the recipient of FSP/Jerome Fellowship (2012), Creation Grant in Fine Arts from National Culture and Arts Foundation in Taiwan (2011), Performing Arts Grant from Council for Cultural Affairs in Taiwan (2011), and International Exchange Residency Grant from Taipei Artist Village and Asialink of the University of Melbourne (2010).

Her selected solo exhibitions include Turn Around the Back at tamtamART in Berlin (2012), and Manu-fractured at Taipei Cultural Center in New York (2009). Recent group shows include ITINERANT at Bronx Art Space (2012), Made in Taiwan-Young Artist Discovery at Art Taipei (2011), International Incheon Women Artists’ Biennale in South Korea (2009), and Queens International 4 at Queens Museum of Art (2009).
