PRESSINFO

Recordplayer/Weltenlinie is a mix of gender, conceptual, spatial, documentary
and fictitious capability. The works render the sensible and the intelligible
as a paradoxe for stimulation.

Recent paintings show ephemeral cut-up prose in a de-layered strategy, where pentimenti are visible, sometimes seen as the only surface and sometimes rendered, to make the fictional character of these still-paintings seen. Each painting can be a short story in itself, captured at an utopian place of idleness, although worked out in the shelter of the studio.

The videoworks are deconstructions of (filmic) genres, by implementing photographic stills, animations and videorecordings. Although following the anglo-saxon idea of romanticism, the modern and the digital contemporary becomes part of the self. The technic as an extension becomes part of the body and the duration of each work an opposition towards multitasking sensibility as perceiption.

The 2003 completed DVD "STILL RUN REMIX & NY PILOT" combines fotographic
research at the NY eastside with digital inserted, in Berlin recorded live animations, to bridge the gap between the literal beat generation as sound and the digital now.

From rethinking space & identity, architectural models developed from 2000 - 2005,
which as independent sites and concepts evolved partizipations in competitions.

In 2005/6 by rethinking the role of the artist as entrepreneur, curator, scriptwriter,
and questioning social expectations, of what an artist should be, I began pursueing a curatorial research project upon intimate and traumatic desires, implementing artists of NY and the Westcoast.
